The Underwater trend has been popular on the Spring 2012 runways. From pearls and shells to glistening shades of soft blues and silvers, have been spotted on the runways of Chanel, Versace, Givenchy, and Louis Vuitton. Check it out!
Versace
Donatella literally showcased the Underwater trend with her fun and sexy looks on the Versace runway; with embellished seahorses, Mermaids, and shells prints. Along with colored fabrics of sky blue, lime green, lavender, white, gold, pearl, and turquoise on mid-drift tops, various skirts and dresses, shoes, and accessories. Closing the show with her signature long length gowns, which all embodied the essence of flowing water waves. (All photos credited: Yannis Vlamos / GoRunway.com)
Chanel
Models strutted down a sand covered runway wearing beautiful fashions and rocking wet, pullback hairdos at the Chanel S’12 show. Karl Lagerfeld showcased the underwater theme with his creative use of light and soft colors such as beige, blues, pinks, and coral just to name a few. Light, metallic fabrics and patterns, along with unique shapes represented shells, waves, and corals. He included swimwear for the Spring and Summer seasons. And off course, incorporated the signature Chanel pearls into his designs.
