Artist Spotlight: Fitz and The Tantrums

What do you get with six talented musicians, irresistible songs and soul…Fitz and The Tantrums!

I love  the music produced by Fitz and The Tantrums. Their debut album Pickin’ Up the Pieces and EP Songs For a Break Up were released early 2011. The band consists of six musicians Fitz the lead vocalist, a co-vocalist, saxophone/ flute, bass, drums, and keyboards players.

Fitz and The Tantrums genre of music is a mix of alternative and pop, along with a soulful 60s old school but up beat sound. Their songs are catchy and fun, and from viewing interviews and performances they like to engage with their audience.

From touring with Maroon 5 in 2008, following several of their own performances and shows, Fitz and The Tantrums will be touring in the near spring through summer seasons.

Pickin’ Up the Pieces and EP Songz For A Break Up are available on Itunes now.

  1. Chelsea,

This is terrific! Its got energy & style. I really like the music & the video! Your writing is great, expressive and on point. Your selection goes perfectly with your blog name: Fashionably Sound. I like opening the post and seeing that big dynamic image and then moving to the text and then the video. If I critiqued anything it would be the font and the way the text looks on the page which isn’t as edgy and dynamic as your music. Its much more traditional and subdued than your message.

But this is really exciting! Great work! I love your choice.

  2. I totally love that you have this post up!!!
The music just comes to life with full force. The message is so real, deep & connected.
Plus he rocks that hair do like it’s nobodies business =)
