While scrolling, clicking, and viewing as many fashion shows I could, three designers/ labels seriously grabbed my attention. I am always ecstatic when I find talent and designers that are new to me. Porsche Design, Rosie Assoulin, and David Tlale, I loved all three collections this season and I will definitely be keeping my eyes on these labels for seasons to come.
1. Porsche Design by Thomas Steinbrueck
Porsche Design is for sure on my ‘Top 10’ list for NYFW! There are 47 looks in this collection and I loved almost every one! If you are a minimalist when it comes to style and fashion, such as myself, then I am positive you will appreciate and love this collection; it is full of minimalism elements from structure, silhouettes, and colors. Very sleek, modern, and chic collection!

2. Rosie Assoulin
Structure structure structure! Asymmetrical tops, pottery handbags, and a ball skirt made of straw hats! This is my first season viewing a Rosie Assoulin collection, and I am now on the Rosie Assoulin train. Assoulin’s Spring 2015 collection is very fresh, modern, and innovative.

3. David Tlale
African heritage inspired collection. I first viewed Tlale’s runway show streaming on Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week online and was instantly amazed! Fascinating, beautiful, and inspirational collection. Check out the below full length fashion show video, courtesy of MBFW!
Describing Tlale’s Spring 2015 showcase, Johann Vollenhoven from Mail & Guardian Africa’s Best Read wrote, “The three successive collections revealed included an African inspired dyed prints edition, a second that included lots of soft folded shirts in white contrasted with strong bead work and stitching across the waist area; and the third in what Tlale termed “Paradise peach” shades, in flowing garments for men and women.”
