Color Trend: Pastels

I usually associate Pastel colors and shades with spring time. But I spotted a bundle of soothing fashions in Pastel shades on runways this Fall/Winter 2014 RTW season during New York fashion week. Pastels will be popular during this Fall season, with colors and shades such as grays, bluish gray, baby blue, soft pink, tans, off white, lavender and mauve.

I am not a huge fan off wearing Pastel colors (especially not during the fall/winter) I prefer dark colors or just black black and black! Some might debate about wearing full Pastel colors during this season, comparable to the famous and long debate of the wearing of white after Labor Day. Not a fan of the yes vs. no debate over wearing white after Labor Day; I believe if one knows how to wear white or in this case Pastels correctly and fashionably then they should rock it!

Designers/labels Alexandre Herchcovitch, N.Hollywood Menswear, Tome, and Wes Gorden sent some beautiful full Pastel fashions down their runways. I love how Philip Lim displayed his Pastel color fashions for 3.1 Philip Lim the most. Lim mixed pastels with prints and neutrals colors like brown and nudes, very creative!
